Meet the All Star Team
Cathy Gainer- Executive Director
Hello to the greatest orthodontic patients in the world! I sincerely mean this, and we really appreciate the opportunity to care for your smile "under construction." I have been privileged to work with Dr. Jusino's practice for (19) years, and I truly love what I do. My primary purpose involves managing the organizational aspect of the practice. Our goal as the "All Star Team," is to provide Dr. Jusino the support he is needful of, so that he can focus his attention on being your "Smile Engineer." For (10) years prior to joining Dr. Jusino's practice, I had a "corporate career." I was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone, AT&T Telephone, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). I have a degree in Organizational Management, and I am a graduate of Sterling Management, which specializes in assisting Doctors with the management of their practices. My time away from the office is most enjoyed when spent with family, and friends. I enjoy all outdoor activities, and am looking forward to some biking this Spring. My son loves to roller-blade, and I intend to have fun with him! I have been married since 1985, and life is good. I can't wait to show you the new office!
Judy Coltman- Financial Coordinator
I have worked with Dr. Jusino since he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1983. For many years I held responsibilities in the treatment area as a Clinical Assistant. I am certified in Dental Radiography, and through the years have attended many continuing education courses. Eleven (11) years ago, Dr. Jusino and the Executive Director offered me an opportunity to expand my resume, and I was trained to assume the position of Finance Coordinator. I love what I do! I enjoy working with numbers, the insurance companies, and money. I enjoy getting to know the families in our practice, and being a team member in an office that makes people feel better about themselves. I love to see our patients "light up" when their braces are removed. I'm very proud to work for a practice that places their patients' needs first. I will always do my very best to make you feel comfortable, and to help make your visits to our office enjoyable. On a personal level, I have been married to Bruce for (22) years, and together we have had four beautiful children. I can't wait to help you with your financial questions in our new office; it is so beautiful! Update: I recently completed my orthodontic treatment. Dr. Jusino did a great job!
Liz Tarnowski- Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been a dental hygienist for (21) years, and I am especially proud of the good I did working with impoverished families in the City of Detroit. I worked (6) years in Detroit serving the dental hygiene needs of many poor families. At last, I felt I was ready for a change, but desired to remain active within the dental profession. My position with Dr. Jusino's practice has been an opportunity to enter the "age of technology!" Since joining Dr. Jusino's practice in 2002, I have become "computer literate," and I am excited to work for such a progressive Doctor. He is among the first to learn and execute the latest orthodontic techniques. As a dental hygienist, I can assure our patients; this is a Doctor who believes his patients are the most important people. We want our patients to know that we are here to "serve you, and you are never a bother." I am also impressed with the many community efforts Dr. Jusino and The All Star Team are involved with. My primary duties involve assisting new patients with scheduling initial examinations, and delivering hygiene instructions to area schools. I also work closely with Dr. Jusino's clinical area assisting the development of our oral hygiene protocol. Our practice places a tremendous emphasis on the oral hygiene needs of our patients as they progress through treatment. I hope to encourage you to look closely at the progress reports Dr. Jusino sends out every six months during treatment. Although these are sent to the Family Dentist, we make certain a copy is mailed home as well. On a personal level, I am the proud mother of two beautiful, fine daughters, and five good grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family, and I also love cats. I have two cats who keep me busy at home, and I love to shop. I'm looking forward to welcoming you to our "Field of Dreams."
Kristin McDonald- Patient Coordinator
I have been working in the Dental Profession for the past ten (10) years. I really enjoy my position with Dr. Jusino's practice. His office is very well organized, and I am learning so much about orthodontics. I have been married to my husband Dan since October 2004. Recently, Dr. Jusino completed my orthodontic treatment. The next time I see you, ask me to show you my "Damon" smile! My time away from the office is spent enjoying bowling, and playing pool. I am so excited about our new office, and can't wait to show you around!
